Our Pastor

Pastor Josh Taylor was born in Victoria B.C. and moved to Ontario at the age of 12. He attended New Brunswick Bible Institute, took courses from Prairie Bible College, and also studied at Heritage College and Seminary. Josh has been pastoring for 15 years. Josh was first an associate pastor in a Fellowship Baptist Church in Harrow, Ontario. Following this, he took on the senior pastor role at Faith Fellowship in Brandon, MB.  Before coming to Fellowship Baptist, he pastored a church in the community of Mount Pleasant, ON.  Josh has served and been ordained in the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist churches as well as the Associated Gospel Churches. His passion is to proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ and to see people saved, baptized, discipled to serve faithfully in their local church, and for the church to reach out to the lost with the message of hope found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Kim was born in Simcoe, Ontario. She attended college for nursing and worked for several years as an LPN. She has served in youth ministry, children’s ministry, and ladies’ ministry. Josh and Kim were married in 2000 and they have 4 growing boys.

What we Believe

We believe the Bible to be the complete Word of God; that the sixty six books, as originally written, comprising the Old and New Testaments were verbally inspired by the Spirit of God and were entirely free from error; that the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice and the true basis of Christian union.

We believe in one God, Creator of all, holy, sovereign, eternal, existing in three equal Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the absolute and essential deity of Jesus Christ, in His eternal existence with the Father in pre incarnate glory, in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension, mediatorial ministry and personal return.

We believe in the absolute and essential deity and personality of the Holy Spirit Who convinces of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; Who regenerates, sanctifies, illuminates and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ.

We believe that Satan exists as an evil personality, the originator of sin, the arch-enemy of God and man.

We believe that man was divinely created in the image of God; that he sinned, becoming guilty before God, resulting in total depravity, thereby incurring physical and spiritual death.

We believe salvation is by the sovereign electing grace of God; that it has been provided for all and is obtained by grace through faith in the all sufficient sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.  We believe that when the righteousness of God in Christ has been imputed, good works and perseverance are produced.

Children are pulled in many directions in today’s world. Our thirty trained Awana staff seek to help children and youth find a solid spiritual foundation early in life.  Also, we ask that kids please bring/wear running shoes as there is a game time each Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,   Maxine Lantz (Awana Ministry Director)

Youth Group Activities

The FBC Youth Group is a diverse and dynamic bunch of young people (grades 7 through 12) who gather twice a month, usually on Friday nights, for food, fun, fellowship and faith.

A welcoming group, these teens have hearts and attitudes that are primed to serve, give back and have fun. Many of the local Intermediate and Secondary Schools in SD&G are represented, as well as parts of Western Quebec.

The youth also meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM in the FBC youth room. Together we study God’s word, ask questions, pray and deepen our faith.

Come join us and experience some fun, camaraderie, and encouragement for life’s challenges and critical questions you face on a regular basis.

Worship Services

Our Sunday morning services start with a time of worship in song led by a group of musicians and singers followed by prayer and preaching of God’s word.  We meet at 10:30 a.m. Sunday mornings.  We also gather on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. for a time of bible study and prayer.
